I work hands-on with business owners prior to sale to drive the critical changes required to sell their company at a maximum value that can be millions of dollars over the current valuation. I also help struggling companies turnaround their operations. In both cases, I focus on operations; improving profitability, increasing cash flow, accelerating growth, adding new channels, launching new products and services, and opening new markets to diversify the business. I have been an owner / CEO running two companies. I bought, built, and profitably sold a wholesale distribution company, and I was a partner and CEO managing the successful turnaround of a manufacturing company. And I have helped as a consultant drive results in succession, growth, and critical turnaround situations. I have had executive positions and consulting engagements in a variety of diverse industries and markets.Nearly half of the businesses that are sold were NOT for sale, and all owners should be ready for that unsolicited offer they should not refuse. Relatively modest improvements in EBITDA when combined with a small increase in multiples can result in realizing millions or tens of millions of dollars over the current valuation, securing an owner’s well-earned retirement and optimizing family wealth. I assure implementation of high impact initiatives to improve profitability, speed growth, and reduce risk to potential buyers via diversification of channels, markets, and suppliers, and through customer and employee retention. I know first hand that it is very difficult to implement substantive, sustainable, timely change while maintaining focus on critical day-to-day operations. I assure plans turn into results.
