I am linking in at the suggestion of several friends who recommend this place for swapping ideas and sharing experiences.It appears to be a business, career orientation place but I am just as happy to discuss any other things going on in everyone's life. Other than the bartender at 'my pub' (I eat lunch there, I don't own it) a good conversation can be hard to find. And I have to tip my bartender.Other than business, I have kids, one wife at a time, love condo living and wanting to get back to a golf game that was in the 80's at one time. Otherwise my Kindle is my best friend.As far as the business side, I am the Controller of a successful and stable privately-held company which supplies a wide range of contruction related materials to contractors and to small to major companies. I have full responsibility for all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, banking, insurance and human resources. I am in a position which requires both high management skills and hands-on real work. This position is one of several in my career which has given me experience is all aspects of financial and project management. This experience includes 10+ years in public accounting, both with a major national firm and a local firm providing services to privately-held companies similiar to the one I am working with now. Beyond that I have been in health care, publishing, international internal auditing and now a construction distributor.I look forward to meeting and talking to everyone out there.
