Rick serves as Foundry Commercial’s Director of Security, bringing over 40 years of law enforcement and security management experience. Rick provides security leadership for the Central Florida properties and assists with security needs throughout the company.Prior to joining Foundry Commercial, formerly CNL Commercial Real Estate, Rick spent 12 years as a full-time law enforcement officer plus 30 years as a part-time reserve deputy. His security management career includes security & safety director at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress (Hyatt’s regional headquarters), director of security, safety and park services for SeaWorld Orlando, and senior manager of security for Orange County Public Schools.Rick has been an adjunct instructor in the “Tourism & Hospitality Institute” of Valencia College since 2002 and has taught crime-prevention to police officers for the Florida Attorney General’s Office throughout the state since 1998. He’s been a court-qualified expert witness on matters of negligence & premises liability since 1985 and has been board-certified in security through ASIS International since 1996.
