The Integrated Operations Division (IOD) coordinates, collaborates, and executes CISA’s operations and planning activities to support the defense and security of our Nation's critical infrastructure. IOD provides decision support and situational awareness through CISA Central, a 24x7x365 operations center and provides intelligence support across all CISA mission domains. The division also conducts continuity and internal exercises to improve operational readiness and serves as the primary service delivery function through CISA's ten Regional Directors.

The Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C) is responsible for enhancing the security, resiliency, and reliability of the nation's cyber and communications infrastructure. CS&C actively engages the public and private sectors as well as international partners to prepare for, prevent, and respond to catastrophic incidents that could degrade or overwhelm strategic assets.

DHS's National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) is a 24x7 cyber situational awareness, incident response, and management center that is a national nexus of cyber and communications integration for the Federal Government, intelligence community, and law enforcement. The NCCIC mission is to reduce the likelihood and severity of incidents that may significantly compromise the security and resilience of the nation’s critical information technology and communications networks. This mission defines the NCCIC’s specific contribution to achieving its vision. To execute its mission effectively, the NCCIC will focus on three core strategic priorities and associated operational objectives. The NCCIC will implement this strategy by expanding and attaining the capabilities, products, and services required to meet each of its strategic priorities over the next five years. Many of these activities will be coordinated, developed, and executed collaboratively with the NCCIC’s operational partners to the benefit of the entire community of cyber and communications stakeholders.

DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) Chief Technology Officer (CTO): The CTO exercises leadership and management and provides guidance, policy and IT acquisition recommendations across various key functions related to NPPDs IT Enterprises. The CTO focuses on the areas of applied technologies, data management and governance, enterprise architecture, geospatial information system, and portfolio management. The CTO leverages emerging technologies, techniques, and applied sciences to recommend improvements to the NPPD IT Enterprise and technology infrastructure and major enterprise applications; identifies tools to optimize IT system performance; and, develops technology solutions to improve services to NPPD employees, customers and stakeholders.

Led an interagency process to develop policies to maximize the utility and use of Federal technical and analytical capabilities across the Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience community. Executive Office of the President lead for development of the Climate Resilience Toolkit called for in the President’s Climate Action Plan and Executive Order on Climate Preparedness.

The Joint Personnel Recovery Agency, or JPRA, is charged with the coordinating and advancing capabilities for military, civil, and diplomatic efforts to obtain the release or recovery of captured, missing, or isolated United States (US) personnel from uncertain or hostile environments and denied areas. The agency, created in 1999 by the merging of the Joint Services SERE Agency and the Joint Combat Search and Rescue Agency, is a Chairman's Controlled Activity aligned under the Director, Joint Staff J-7.

From the USAF Special Operations Website:MissionAir Force Special Operations Command's combat controllers, or CCT, are Battlefield Airmen assigned to special tactics squadrons. The CCT mission is to deploy undetected into combat and hostile environments to establish assault zones or airfields, while simultaneously conducting air traffic control, fire support, command and control, direct action, counter-terrorism, foreign internal defense, humanitarian assistance and special reconnaissance. MottoTheir motto, "First There," reaffirms the combat controller's commitment to undertaking the most dangerous missions behind enemy lines by leading the way for other forces to follow. TrainingCombat controllers are among the most highly trained special operations force in the U.S. military. They maintain their core skill as air traffic controllers throughout their career in addition to other unique skills. They are trained in infiltration methods including static-line and freefall parachuting, scuba, rubber raiding craft, all-terrain vehicles, rappelling and fast rope methods. Most qualify and maintain currency as joint terminal attack controllers.
