NERC Compliance for Upper Missouri facilities along with our member distribution cooperatives.

As an Engineering Manager I manage 3 contract staking firms, manage invoices and payments to 4 contract line building crews, 7 internal McKenzie employees and oversee all engineering for the Cooperative. We average around 2500 new requests a year and turn out over 1000+ work orders a year ranging from large trunk lines to small rural residential services. Also work hand in hand with our Engineering Firm to do planning studies to support the distribution system with Transmission and Substations. Currently McKenzie is looking at 100 miles of new construction 115kV Transmission lines and 25 new substations in the next 18 months to support the massive growth in the Bakken Oil formations.

As an Application Engineer I traveled across the country to many different Utilities ranging from Cooperatives, Municipals, and big IOU's to implement distribution design software for Field engineers to use. This process involved getting requirements from customer, modifying and testing all interfaces from software to Work Management and GIS Systems, and Training the software when the implementation was complete.

As a Distribution Engineer I field designed/staked over 100 miles of 25kV distribution line in the NE corner of Wyoming for Powder River Energy Cooperative. As a Transmission Engineer I did various projects ranging from 1/2 mile 4kV line with 5 transmission line crossings, an interstate crossing, and 2 haul road crossings, to 115kV single wood pole transmission lines. This involved helping route lines, design the line, stake the line, and create bid packages to send out to contractors and vendors.
