Provides counsel on all chapters of Veteran Administration education programs. Director of Veterans Center and primary advisor to student Veterans on Veteran benefits. Serves as the advocate for student Veterans and actively promotes education benefits awareness to all Veterans and Veteran groups. Works in concert with Student Life and Academic Success center to provide seamless transition from combat to classroom for Veterans. Provide outreach to Veterans looking for like-minded individuals that are seeking to achieve their academic goals. Develops programing to enhance student Veterans education experience. Conduct information sessions to highlight military Veteran friendly practices at the University of Dubuque.

• (Command Sergeant Major National Sustainment Training Center): 2 January 2010 – 30 August 2014 Sustainment Training Center (STC), Johnston, IA. Served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Commander. The STC has with 108 employees with 5 different pay plans including active duty military, federal employees and civilian contractors. The STC has a core mission to train sustainment organizations in all aspects of core Mission Essential Tasks in order to support world-wide mobilization and deployment in support of National Security directives and requirements. o Responsible for overall safety procedures and practices and there enforcement for a training center that trains in excess of 4000 Soldiers annually. o The primary trainer and mentor for the training center. o Participates in annual review of all training aides and simulation. o Provides regular input to senior trainers for process improvement. o Ensures all trainers are incorporating latest doctrinal training and training techniques. o Provides counsel on employee disciplinary actions. o Performs quarterly and annual employee performance counseling and appraisals. o Conduct regular assessment assigned positions per table of organization. o Review and analyze human resource utilization and manpower requirements and recommend changes. o Analyze the mission and functions of organizations, functional areas, or activities. o Regularly conducts safety inspections and briefings utilizing the composite risk management process.

• Served as the Senior Operations Manager for a 3400 person Brigade Combat Team.• Responsible for overall schools budget, seat allocation and compliance with applicable Army and Department of Defense training regulations. Managed an annual schools budget of $2.3 million.• Responsible for the monthly/quarterly rollup of Brigade Combat Team Unit Status report and submission to DOD using NETUSR a web based platform.• Coordinates and implements Command Inspection program annually.• Coordinates and schedules Inspector General inspections/visits annually.• Develops plans and publishes weekly operational guidance to 6 subordinate Battalion Headquarters.• Develops fielding plans with Program Managers for New Equipment Fieldings.• Responsible for the maintenance of over 20 military facilities throughout Command to include local near term maintenance as well long range planning for future site new construction and renovation.• Conducts analysis and planning to forecast all out year training resources ensure all Brigade Combat Team Department of the Army required training events are properly sourced with correct training sets in support of mobilization and deployment operations and directives.Served as a Combat advisor, coach and mentor in regards to all Administrative, Logistical and Combat Operation functions to the Afghan National Security Forces. Provided oversight on building construction, vehicle maintenance and site security while embedded with Afghan National Security forces. Conducted operations in an austere environment while under economy of force conditions.Served as a Noncommissioned officer leading Soldiers from 1985-2014. During that time served as the senior leader for organizations ranging from 4 personnel to 3500 personnel.
