I am a life-long learner of training best practices and technological innovations related to training delivery and their pragmatic application through updated training programs. I'm wildly passionate about preparing tomorrows leaders. My learning experience spans 25 years and includes: course presentations to classes of up to 300 students, course development, one-on-one mentoring, member of several committees that set statewide training standards, Police Academy Commander, Training Manager, and Executive Officer of one of the largest and most successful global law enforcement training organizations. I have developed, delivered and managed training programs for both customers and internal employees ranging from customer based product use, maintenance, and train-the-trainer courses, to employee based courses ranging from on-boarding courses on products and processes, to leadership development courses for supervisors, managers and executive leadership. I have extensive experience with classroom based learning, distance learning through online courses, webinars and tutorial videos, and interactive practical and scenario based learning. I am a problem solver with a track record of collaborating with key stakeholders both inside and outside of the organization and developing processes for assessing the needs of customers and employees to identify skill gaps and resolving these challenges.As a leader, I have extensive experience recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, managing and mentoring onsite full-time employees as well as over 800 contract employees in 14 countries.I consult with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and military personnel in over 20 countries on best practices, training and policy issues relative to use of force (specializing in conducted electrical weapons (TASER)), body-worn cameras, and digital evidence management, and I serve as an expert witness in depositions and in state and federal courts on law enforcement training.
