I have worked with people with learning disabilities since 2002, starting as a support worker in New Zealand for children's respite, then adults services specialising in challenging behaviour. Moved to London in 2007 and worked for the The Camden Society Outreach service, then with Behavioural Management service Goldhurst Project, eventually managing it. Then moved on to ASD & Complex Needs Coordinator training staff, policy writing, developing new services and improving existing ones, responsible for organisational behaviour management, safeguarding and Autism Specific practice.Started working with Autism Accreditation in 2011, I have completed around 10 reviews for them, as Team Member and Team LeaderI have done occasional bits of freelance work consulting support services around behaviour management and autism practice.As of September 2021 I ended 5.5 years work at Pursuing Independent Paths as Service Manager, Head of Service and Development and Acting Director.I have just finished 2.25 years as CEO of Hillingdon Citizens Advice Bureau and looking for my next role as of May 2024.I am the author of 2 books and many articles via my blog.
