I work with the AutoZone merchandising team to increase their company's market share within the automotive retail aftermarket by providing the best merchandise at the right price to their customers at over 5000 locations across the United States.I drive new business for both AutoZone and Dorman Products by bringing innovative and timely product solutions to the marketplace.I Protect our current business lines from competitive threat by providing the right balance of value, product knowledge and category management; a trifecta which also serves to maintain double digit growth across a large variety of hard parts lines.

Duties to include:Building the assortment plans that drive a successful basic housewares business while maintaining a firm grasp on the team's bottom line and the financial direction of the category. Working with field operators and vendors alike to provide timely inventory support through delivery of accurate forecasts both up and down the the supply chain.Managing the product life cycle in such a manner as to introduce and expand hot items while at the same time pulling back on items further along in life to ensure as productive a product mix as possible.

Ground up development of hard parts product mix for AutoZone's first entry into the Brazilian marketplace. Successfully choose and source product from over 100 potential vendors. Evaluate potential vendor partner facilities and financial strengths. Analyze trends and use the extracted datea to institute effective pricing strategies to drive high margin sales while maintaining unit velocity. Manage inventory flow to ensure the highest level of productivity. Negotiate vendor contracts. Conduct market assessments. Forecast sales and develop strategic plans to further increase sales and margin.
