As Enterprise Account Manager (EAM), responsible for driving revenue growth by building and managing existing client relationships and developing strategic business relationships. Negotiated and sold both software and services solutions to Fortune 1000 clients, primarily in the Midwest.

As Client Engagement Manager (CEM), responsible for the negotiation, creation of Statements of Work, and the oversight of data projects. These responsibilities include business development, project development, budget management, execution monitoring, issue resolution, reporting, and up-selling. Provided a high level of service to clients, collaborated across BackOffice business functions, and drove a culture of sales and service excellence.

Technology Lead for Integration and Data Conversion on the SAP Implementation Project. Phase 1 included the HCM and FIN modules. (50+ interfaces using PI and Abap). Directed five internal resources, ten onsite consultants, as well as a sizable offshore team in the design, development, and testing of the integration and conversion objects. A highly successful go live resulted in June ’09. Earned CIO award for effort and results. Also directing the Data Conversion effort for SAP Phase 2 - Core Merchandise with a planned Go Live of May 2011.Directed an E-Commerce Re-platform project coordinating integration with fifteen vendors. Led an internal team of six and several contractors through design, development, and testing.Formed a new team responsible for Corporate Data Integration. Created tenets for future integration including reusable jobs or web services to exchange information across the Enterprise. Identified all integration points in the company in a multi-tiered repository called the Enterprise Integration View (EIV). The EIV contained four levels of information: Enterprise, Application, Interface, and Field. The EIV proved crucial in projects such as SAP and the E-Commerce Re-platform, saving considerable effort/cost. Used IBM’s DataStage product as development tool.Led support for the Corporate Data Warehouse – an Oracle 10g database using a Microstrategy front end. Set the corporate strategy on future BI initiatives – focused on SAP BW and Business Objects.Directed expansion of Business to Business (B2B) integration using Gentran Integration Suite (AS2, SFTP).

Focused on increasing supply chain visibility – converting from a data dump mentality to a management by exception approach. Worked closely with business partners, developed new analytical reporting based on alert thresholds and dashboarding concepts. Led a project providing Integration of two new systems to an existing system being re-platformed. Procured Ascential’s DataStage tool as an integration / ETL tool. Working with a “swat” team of four, participated in design sessions of all 3 projects and developed the first corporate integration standards. Moved away from point-to-point FTPs to the foundation of an SOA with reusable jobs and web services.Oversaw formation of a corporate wide strategy around 3rd party consultants. Built an RFP, chose recipients, and arranged face to face presentations. Created scorecard and participated in decision process for awarding bid. Became a cornerstone of the IT sourcing / support strategy.

Led project to redesign, optimize, and redeploy the functionality of the Distribution Center. Facilitated months of blueprint sessions with clients and consultants. Led a development team of seven internals plus several contractors in building out the new systems. Created near real time integrations with various systems across the Enterprise. Test plans were created and executed during non-business hours. Per unit distribution cost fell to record lows as a result.Technology shifted from Mainframe / Informix to Oracle Database on Unix using PL/SQL and Forms/Reports.Forged a new relationship with Patni, an offshore consulting firm to assist in support activities and bandwidth expansion. Up to five resources working in support of internal team.

Managed development, maintenance, and support of many custom Unix/Informix and CICS/VSAM applications that supported the inventory process. Addressed a complete lack of structure on these systems. Completely overhauled the existing procedures, replaced ad hoc functions with automation, and backed it up with documented standards. Created new inventory reporting formats still in use today.

First person promoted to newly created position of Sr. P/A. Participated in interviews as the team was expanded. Played role of technical mentor and project leader. Developed initial standards and implemented tech reviews.

First local hire for the start up of a new Distribution Center. Initial responsibilities included legacy system support (Mainframe/CICS). Learned Unix scripting, Informix 4GL, Powerbuilder, and assisted in designing / creating new systems. The role stressed the dual importance of programming skills and business analysis.Participated in a large project to automate the new facility. Role included both programming as well as running integration and user acceptance testing. Interacted with high level business clients, vendors, and contractors.

Supported CICS/DB2 systems responsible for patient billing. Placed on team responsible for implementing an Institutional Contracts system and assisted in a successful go live.

Named System Test Coordinator in recognition of growing leadership role on team. Assigned official role of mentor to junior team members. Led efforts around performance tuning and new functionality.

Worked on an IDMS/CICS/VSAM based system that supported HMO processing, billing, and reimbursement. Initial responsibility was for monthly reporting, but played a large role in monthly system testing.

Hired into a yearlong training program for IT professionals newly graduated from college. Focus on technical skills (COBOL, JCL, CICS, IDMS) and “soft” skills (oral/written communication, project management, time management).
