Good Tidings believes that every child should have access to explore and excel in the activities they are passionate about. Our core competency is serving. We recognize there are gaps in society today that need to be addressed so that every child can reach their full potential. We understand children need a place to express themselves academically, athletically, and artistically. We support these fields equally. Our efforts have produced 222 projects ( baseball and basketball facilities, art studios, music studios, etc.) and counting, $1.5 million in scholarships, and a growing $12 million endowment now in our 30th year. During these 30 years, we have been driven by youth dreams and are proud of our impact on marginalized youth in Northern California and beyond.This past holiday over an 11 day period, we gifted over 5800 toys to 1,955 kids in our “Winter Wonderland” at the company HQ. Thanks to everyone who hosted a toy drive, donated thru our registry, or volunteered with the kids.

Founded in 1994, Wine.com ( at that time the business was called Virtual Vineyards) is an internet retailer of distinctive, hard-to-find wine, food and gift selections. Prior to joining the company, the founders had secured a $6 million investment to bolster marketing plans. I joined as a Director and Interim CEO, focusing on people, branding (the Wine.com name shift), productive inventory, and a plan to secure master wholesale rights in every state. By November 1999, the company secured a $51 million investment round to execute those strategies, plus inventory, and the build-out of a world class warehouse/office in Napa, California.

I had a fantastic 13 year experience working at the Gap during what some have referred to as their “Camelot Years.”In April of 1986 we opened our first GapKids Store, which I had spearheaded the development of throughout the previous year while managing my primary responsibility for merchandising the Men's Pant and Outerwear business at the Gap. As the business took off, I gave up my Men's responsibilities to focus on the GapKids growth, adding the babyGap division in 1989. By 1993, the GapKids/Baby division had reached $500 million.In July of 1993, I took over as President of the Gap Division, overseeing Merchandising, Planning & Distribution, Stores, Operations, Visual Merchandising, and Finance. And in 1995, was named Executive Vice President of Gap, Inc. and President of Gap, GapKids, and Outlet divisions, adding Product Development and Marketing to my responsibilities. From 1993 to 1996, we tacked on an addtional $530 million, bringing our total to $3.2 billion. Our focus was to keep it simple, hire great people, improve our merchandising productivity, patiently expand our points of distribution, and build our premium brand.
