Founded Guitar International magazine in 2004 (previous: Modern Guitar Magazine) with interviews with Les Paul, Slash, Buddy Guy, Richie Havens, Johnny Winter, Joe LaMond, Paul Reed Smith,, Chris Martin IV, Roger McGuinn, Judy Collins, Cindy Cashdollar and more. Started performing again after decades, in 2018 at an open mic; have now performed at festivals, multiple venues, recording an album with a multi-platinum album performer; ricklanders.com; writing a children's book series (about ready to pitch to publishers), started a Writers Circle with notable members, served as songwriter judge (2020-21) for the Songwriters Association of Washington, recently interviewed Jesse Colin Young and Steve Earle - soon to be published and MORE! Writer; publisher (e-books on Free and Bad Company; The Language of the Blues, etc.) and co-wrote one on press releases for working musicians, headed to New Mexico soon to perform at a cemetery....it's a long story!
