Life comes at you fast, especially when trying to figure out what actually piques your interest. In my studies I tried my best, broadening my horizon from biochemistry to physics. Eventually I landed on the path where I deemed the measurements made in the physical chemistry field the most interesting. Here, I worked my way around the course load to be able to reproduce the almost physics-redefining setups. Consequently in my internship, the tweaking of an experimental setup in order to improve it is an excellent example where the manipulation of a molecular beam through electric fields, repairing gate valves, constructing new gas lines, handling high pressure gasses and much more was applied hands on and peaked a lifelong interest in pursuing the understanding and optimization of technical equipment.As one of the younger master students, I have been described as driven, stubborn and a tad bit high on my own horse. But these qualities have given me the mindset to keep driving myself and others to higher levels of work. As they say, the grind never stops.
