Built the investor relations function from scratch at Veeva and was a key member of the IPO team. Responsible for all aspects of Veeva’s investor relations program in addition to providing support in other areas including long-term financial planning, treasury, and corporate development.

Led transactional execution teams in support of client executives and senior bankers including originating ideas, building extensive financial analyses, exploring strategic alternatives, conducting due diligence, creating investor presentations, drafting registration statements, and supporting negotiations in support of equity, debt, and M&A transactions. Primarily focused on the software industry, but also had experience across internet, clean tech, industrial services, engineering & construction, and environmental services.

1999-2006As a CH-46 helicopter pilot, led combat missions in Iraq including casualty evacuation, emergency extraction, combat re-supply, cargo & personnel transport, and aerial photography/reconnaissance. Led humanitarian assistance missions to aid the survivors of the tsunami in Sumatra, Indonesia.2006-2008Recruited, screened, and prepared college students and recent college graduates for the rigors of Officer Candidate School, the gateway for a commission as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mentored candidates in preparation for life as a military officer during a time of conflict. Operated in the challenging recruiting environment of Northern California.
