Assist in planning and execution of social media campaigns and other external messaging through the creation of videos, photographs, and other forms of relevant media content. Set up audio/visual equipment for in-person events, including live stream cameras, microphones, event lighting, press mult-box, speakers, and audio mixer. Coordinate with outside media partners like TV stations and newspapers as part of the Public Affairs team to prepare and redact public records of interest, including official reports, 911 calls, and body worn camera footage.

Covered a wide variety of national stories including Presidential campaigns, the Pulse Nightclub Massacre, college football bowl games, the murder of Christina Grimmie, and several hurricanes. Conceptualize, shoot, and edit longer-form promotable pieces and half hour specials that go above and beyond daily newsgathering.

Steubenville, Ohio Area

Provide comprehensive videography and editing for WTOV’s regional daily news broadcast servingresidents of the Ohio Valley, working extensively with a team of over 15 reporters to gather and editfootage for the full spectrum of news stories, including local interest, viewer advocacy, and local sporting events. Edit and assemble final stories for use on the station’s 90-minute evening newscast, with total responsibility for preparing footage from local and national sources in time for broadcast. Oversaw full editing process for two hour-long specials, including coverage of the Jamboree in the Hills music festival, and on-site coverage of the 2015 Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Obtain live-action shots using ENG trucks and LiveU equipment, and manage an AVID ISIS and Interplay system for footage archiving.
