Agile/Lean Coaching To Assist In Digital Transformation
Help create a shared understanding that puts technology at the core of business strategy.
Agile-Lean-Systems Research And Coaching
Systems thinking when applied to government is required before Agile and Lean approaches can succeed. Applying systems thinking before implementing agile and lean may make possible enduring and effective change. Without it, the best you can hope for is success at the program or project level.
Agile Coach
Introducing agile principles and practices to the Department by helping coach an agile team on an exciting new project and recommending a number of experiments to help manage dependencies between projects and improve portfolio planning.
Agile Coach
Currently working with IntegrationQA to help the Technology Delivery Uplift program provide agile and lean coaching to a number of teams across the Department. My work includes helping a team working on a cross-agency first pass business case complete a value stream map for key export industries as part of the agile/lean coaching I am doing.
Agile Coach & Scrum Master
Supporting the Child Care Subsidy team in implementing a single subsidy payment to families that is enabled by an effective, easy to use integrated IT systems. My work focuses on:• Assisting the teams in working more effectively by implementing appropriate Agile & Lean practices• Identifying options to stop doing work that provides little business value• Helping the teams to remove blockers
Agile Project Manager & Coach

Agile Project Manager And Scrum Master
Responsible for managing two Scrum Teams delivering the Hub Administration Systems and Services Portal. It is a key element of the Community Grants Hub which will deliver a simpler, more consistent approach to the administration of grants across the Australian Government.I have been a successful advocate for using Scaled Professional Scrum (Nexus) to plan and manage the dependencies between the program Scrum Teams. We have been adopting Nexus incrementally with the aim of taking a rolling three-month window approach to manage dependencies at the feature and user story level.
Agile Project Manager
Since successfully implementing the Departmental CRM using Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Agile/Scrum I helped establish a Scaled Professional Scrum (Nexus) based integration team to support and continue development of the business.gov.au website and related Departmental websites. The Nexus framework provides a way to ensure that professionally managed scrum teams can work from the same Product Backlog list.
Agile/Scrum Project Manager
My work included leading the development of a new Prince2 / Agile approach to deliver the Single Business Profile project using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. The CRM went to production after 4 months all AusIndustry staff have been trained with the take-up significantly higher than anticipated. The development team was managed using Scrum with four weekly releases to production. The team provided training, support and change management services and provided a two sprint handover to the Department's CRM capability team where they shadowed the development team for a sprint before taking the lead for the final sprint in the project. The capability team are now using the Scrum processes developed for the project to manage the CRM product backlog list ensuring that development continues. It was a great project to work on as it has required working out the touch points between the Project Board and the scrum development team and was a very successful example of using an Agile approach to using Prince2 to manage a fully Agile/Scrum project.

We developed a Proof of Concept which demonstrated that a client focused tri-Act system could be developed for the Rehabilitation and Compensation program at DVA. The second component of my work has to be develop and provide cost estimates for the ICT components of the business case.
Senior Technical Project Manager And Professional Services Team Lead (Daon Australia)
Working at Daon I was the Technical Project Manger and Team Lead for the Professional Services Team for Daon Australia. The biometric solutions that Daon provide are specialised applications that are designed to work with large populations of people with our largest client requiring a solution for five million people. My work included managing two large projects and three to four smaller projects concurrently. During 2011 I managed the Daon team that implemented the Biometric Refresh for the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. This work involved doubling the capacity of the system, upgrading the Daon Engine, data migration from DB2 to Oracle. In 2010-11 I managed the delivery of the New Zealand Department of Labor biometrics research and development using Agile/Scrum. Using Scrum enabled us to re-prioritise the key deliverables based on the feedback from the Department's Product Owner. The flexibility that Scrum provides resulted in much more targeted outcomes than were outlined in the original Statement of Work.
