Venture with Ford Motor Company. UPS / Ford collaboration managing the outbound finished vehicles from plant to dealers. Management of vehicle launches in respects to storage, repair programs and shipping vehicles by priority and age. Part of a specialized, high level team to oversee New Model Launches. Responsible for productivity management, client relationship management, and financial management. Optimized the rail and road freight networks by time and cost. Managed the movement of materials, information, and finances involved in manufacturing the distributing products. Travelled to all Ford plants during launches to organize storage, shipments and major repair programs between carriers and the plants. Multiple projects ongoing across numerous locations under high pressure situations. Implemented failure mode procedures to improve carrier management, yard management and quality management by analyzing failures and implementing a three-stage resolution. This improved overall stoppage and delays in process flows and repairs saving millions of dollars for Ford and carriers. Managed process flow of vehicles at one plant and shipping to another. This minimized movement of vehicles on site saving money, improving quality, and minimizing volume fluctuations in the network. Limited employee travel of specialized skills to keep them at home base. Coordinated with transportation (shuttle companies, car haul, rail), yard management teams, quality teams and head office and identified, solved and implemented procedures using failure modes, and six-sima practices. Coordinated daily high-level meetings with participants to accomplish overall objectives: ship finished vehicles, coordinated transportation, avoided work stoppage and accounted for and resolved equipment issues on rail and road.
