About Rick Pedley-Smith

In the course of my work I became concerned about the level of educational disengagement and emotional detachment in some boys and began looking for ways to address this issue. I co-established and coordinate the successful Rite of Passage Boys’ Program within schools which aims to re-engage and support at-risk boys. Now in its seventh year, the program utilises Physical, Social and Academic Challenges to help develop a sense of purpose through developing resilience, self-respect and encouraging positive masculinity.
