Working under the direction of the Chief of the Professional Standards Bureau, I am responsible for the daily administrative, secretarial, and data entry duties of the department. I serve the law enforcement agencies, current police officers, future police officers, and the community at large in the Great State of Nevada by providing first-rate customer service at all times and always giving more than what is expected. I also have the privilege of working with the Nevada POST commission and assisting them with their administrative needs, as well.I continue to monitor and update the official NV POST Facebook page with current events, training opportunities, and general Silver State law enforcement news and happenings that would be of interest to the community. Lastly, I am proud to share that I am the master of ceremonies for the POST Basic Training Academy graduation ceremonies--usually held twice each calendar year.

Serving the cadets (recruits/students), staff, and visiting trainers via the Training Bureau of the Nevada Commission on P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer's Standards & Training), I am responsible for initiating and managing all administrative duties as necessary in preparation for pending academy classes and to ensure that all paperwork, schedules, and equipment is ready for use at the proper time and in compliance with academy standard operating procedures. In addition, I continue to oversee the official NV POST Facebook page, as well as coordinate the videotaping and editing of special training sessions taught by staff and guest speakers/trainers; also, I assist with the editing of the P.O.S.T. website and manage all staff Listserv state group email communications updates.

- Serving as an Administrative Assistant II, I work closely with the Deputy Director of the Nevada Commission on P.O.S.T, where my duties include maintaining records and files of all law enforcement personnel, recruitment and training, and certification of peace officers, deputy sheriffs, highway patrol officers, and correctional officers for the state of Nevada; composing and editing correspondence; data entry; office management; budget monitoring and accounts maintenance; typing and word processing; answering telephones and relaying information; reception; duplicating and distributing materials; preparing for meetings and taking minutes; ordering and stocking supplies and equipment; receiving, sorting and delivering mail; reviewing and processing applications, forms and other documents; operating office equipment such as copiers, personal computers, computer terminals, calculators, facsimile machines, printers, and other equipment; and performing related duties as assigned.

Through this entertainment company of mine, I promote, book, and perform various musical genres during holidays and special occasions in a variety of settings throughout the Greater Western United States at public and private celebrations such as weddings, receptions, anniversaries, birthday parties, Fourth-of-July gatherings, picnics, and other special revelry where my prices are always affordable and my acts memorable. - Promote/book a variety of one-man/group live-music shows unique to the occasion.- Market/perform a wide assortment of musical shows that result in 100% callback.- Serve as repeat Master of Ceremonies for pageants, talent competitions, fundraisers.- Record voice-overs for talk-radio programs, TV shows, and Internet marketing campaigns.

- Answer incoming telephone calls, helping customers and Insurance companies to resolve insurance lapses. Research consisting of reviewing the Nevada LIVE database, NRS, NAC, Policy/Procedures, insurance companies and other state agencies. Maintain all confidentiality required by NRS. (Average calls: 39 calls per day.)- Interpret and apply knowledge of state laws, regulations and procedures providing the customer information of insurance requirements and assistance with insurance and sanction issues and individual status as required. Offer alternatives to solve problems related to registration suspensions.- Enter customer responses to insurance verification cards, denied cards from insurance companies, hearing requests and document all conversations pertaining to the customer in the Nevada LIVE database. Maintain records for hearings/contested cases; prepare hearings file and take appropriate action as a result of hearings. Complete all statistical reports as required daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. (The reports must contain accurate figures as related to the technician’s production output. Complete all correspondence as required.)- Process reinstatements, collecting fees/fines, clearing suspensions with no unresolved overcharges or shortages when balancing collected fees at the end of the day.- Special assignments, which include data entry, program testing, research or special reports/documentation.

- Using modern ditial imaging software, assist in preparing hard-copy files for scanning and converting from paper documents into digital format. - Analyze, edit and process large regular volumes of Nevada drivers license data to be indexed, linked, and accessed for future reference, saving not only file space, but also allowing for a more efficient system to locate such data if and when necessary.

Reported to the supervisor of the Vehicle Information Network (VIN) department of the nation’s leading provider of advanced software for automotive claims and collision repair industries. - Met with users to analyze the problem; determined requirements, and developed objectives and solutions.- Evaluated, created, and modified coding for new vehicle model-year collision-estimating files per user requirements.- Analyzed and processed electronic files, including vehicle parts, prices, and repair/replacement operations, to update the collision estimating software for customers.- Maintained integrity of database by implementing regular updates according to 100% error-free project objectives.- Tested functionality of database and adopted necessary program changes with applicable coding procedures. - Determined the nature and sequence of prototype Microsoft.Net/SQL (2005) edit-tool platform to produce efficient and cost-effective recommendations to management.- Proven success in researching and writing automotive collision-repair technical manuals for staff, resulting in an efficiency-savings of over $30,000 annually.

Organized, coordinated and reviewed volunteer and city-funded projects to improve the infrastructure and surrounding property of Stater Bros. Stadium (formerly Mavericks Stadium), and renovate a near-twenty-year ball park through the efforts of concerned citizens, general contractors and local businesses. For the High Desert Mavericks Professional Baseball Club--along with assistance and recommendations by the administrative staff of the City of Adelanto--our collective aim was to rally support for the collection and cost-effective distribution of labor, equipment, materials, expertise and funding for the repairs, renovation and restoration of the home of the Mavericks baseball team, for the players, fans and visitors to the premises. - Wrote press releases about the “Save Our Grass (S.O.G.)" campaign to local newspapers, radio and TV outlets in the High Desert/Inland Empire and received maximum media exposure.- Served as official spokesperson for a front-page newspaper story from which we received sizable offers to help with the campaign.- Initiated and maintained a favorable rapport with the City of Adelanto staff at City Hall about options to repair the stadium facilities--including making a formal presentation before an enthusiastic City Council.- Influenced City of Adelanto (legal owners of Stater Bros. Stadium) to provide $25,000 in property upgrades, and--through the High Desert community’s donation of volunteer labor, supplies, and money--raised an additional estimated $10,000.Major improvements were made to the stadium in the following areas: new infield grass/sod, repair of damaged outfield grass, painted outfield fences, painted Wooly-Bully placard atop right-field fence, painted dugouts and player locker rooms, concourse restrooms repairs and painting, Hard Ball Café repairs and painting, new concourse and field lights, new protective netting behind home plate and on either side of press box, new seats, and parking lot re-striping.

Represented the homeowners claims division of the Colton (CA) office of the country’s third-largest insurer of both private personal lines passenger automobile and homeowners insurance, providing a wide range of other insurance and financial services products. - Provided excellent customer service to the public and internal customers. - Managed caseload of over 40 weekly claims to efficiently resolve customers’ property repair/replacement scenarios. - Coordinated with law enforcement and construction contractors to implement necessary procedures and documentation to resolve theft or damage claims. - Conducted comprehensive onsite inspections of claimants’ property to gather evidence and reconcile insured claimants to pre loss status.

Served the faculty, students and staff of this growing non-profit, private, graduate school for the health professions--one of the largest graduate schools for the health professions in California, offering twelve programs from five colleges, comprising over 2,000 students. - Supervised a staff of four employees and managed daily operations of the purchasing department: shipping/receiving, incoming/outgoing mail (3,000 pieces/day), on-campus business equipment repairs for 50 on-site machines, and classroom copy/print projects (100/day). - Negotiated equipment and/or service renewals and new purchase contracts for the university with over 25 different outside account representatives. Over 100 terms-of- agreement were on file to be periodically reviewed and renegotiated. - Coordinated monthly and year-end campus-wide inventory counts of office supplies, equipment, and special event purchases; then compiled final results into complete MS- Excel spreadsheet report for the director of purchasing and risk management’s review and approval.
