I have been honored to work with many municipal and private entities.Custom built training classes upon request. Custom classes have included Low Light Operations for Patrol and Tactical Teams, Tactical Response to Terror Attacks, Terrorist Interdiction on Mass Transit with Detector Dogs, and Integration of K9 during Tactical Operations for both Patrol and SWAT.Additionally, I conduct threat analysis and security surveys for several clients.

Acknowledging the reality that police cannot be everywhere at all times, the only way to ensure our communities are protected against violent hate crimes, active threats and terrorist attacks is to take responsibility for and effectively manage our own security.As the first Jewish communal security organization in North America to develop a training standard to become an effective volunteer first responder, the SSCNA Synagogue Safety Officer program has become the most effective volunteer first responder certification in the Jewish Community of North America.

From 1993 to 2002, worked as a Patrolman, Community Policing Officer, Gang Investigator, Gang Crimes Detective, and Training Officer.From 2002-2010, was a Sergeant. During this time, supervised both Patrol and the Special Operations Group Narcotics Unit.June of 2010, I was promoted to Lieutenant. I oversaw the Intelligence Division, Patrol Operations in Areas 1 & 3 and the Special Operations Group.April of 2020, I was promoted to Commander. I oversaw the Bureau of Neighborhood Policing, which including Uniform Patrol, Community Policy, Traffic, and Canine. Also was responsible for oversight of the Special Response Team. Serving on the Special Response Team since 1995 and the Marksman Observer Unit from 1999-2010. Served as an operator, sniper, team leader, master/explosive breacher and team commander.Responsible for the re-implementation of the Aurora Police Department's K9 Unit in 2014, including policy, purchasing, and training. Served as the K9 Unit Coordinator for our four K9 team unit.
