Contracted to help with HSBC North America and Capital One mainframe divestment project, working with z/OS Comm Server and network OEM software support (emphasis on CL/Supersession and LRS products). Project completed seamlessly and on time. Trained new personnel on CL/Supersession technical adminstration. Cleaned up user tables (over 25000 unneeded resources removed) and dialogs so logon times decreased up to 400 percent. Contract expires April 19, 2013.

Provided integral services during PACCAR's replacement of a Storage Tek Silo tape library system. Utilizing Mainline Systems' FATSCOPY software, migrated 21,000 tapes from 9480-D to 9582-B, now being serviced by an IBM TS3500 ATL system. Project completed well within time and budget. During project, gained proficiency at Tape Management (TMS) and CA/1 disciplines. This included operations training and providing operational documentation.Coordinated PACCAR's APPN network re-configuration when one LPAR was eliminated from their Sysplex environment.Installed, tested, and integrated two vendor software packages (IBM's CL/SuperSession and BMC's CMF monitor) in support of PACCAR's upcoming z/OS system upgrade to version 1.11.Updated PACCAR's Mainframe Network Disaster Recovery procedures for 2011.

RJE support for PACCAR's manufacturing plants, including performing systems upgrades and network interface support to the mainframe. Promoted to the distributed software department when plants were upgraded to 8100 hardware and DPPX software.; Successfully migrated PACCAR's NCP/3745 subarea platform to OSA Enterprise Extender/VIPA configuration, eliminating the need for 3745 and thereby saving the Company hardware/software costs associated with supporting 3745 technology without additional replacement cost. Company savings were approximately $60K per year.Successfully upgraded PACCAR's CICS platform from level 3.3 to level 4.1, and again from level 4.1 to CICS/TS version 2.1 using SMP/e. This included testing all previously coded exits, third-party vendor software (i.e. CA/DADSPLUS and OMEGAMON/CICS) and region configurations (10 Application-owning regions, one Terminal-owning region).In 1987, designed and coded a first (and only)-of-its-kind network interface using an IBM 8150/DPPX system that communicated directly with a Digital Equipment (DEC) processor that drove an automated Hi-Bay parts warehouse system

Wrote a one-of-a-kind network interface between DPPX and DEC systems to help drive an automated warehouse system at the Peterbilt plant; Moved into the mainframe system department when the plants were migrated from 8100 to distributed servers.
