Currently I am working as a Fleet Regional Technician at Rocky Reach Dam and have been in this position for the last 4 years. I am in charge of all of the repairs and maintenance of all of Rocky Reach's many varied vehicles and equipment. I work on everything from 240 ton mobile cranes to the Parks Department's smallest powered tools. I must maintain my own parts inventory, schedule and plan my work, and maintain good working relationships with the internal customers I serve, including sending out daily emails to relay pertinent information on the status and location of vehicles and equipment I work on throughout my day.From July 2007 to April 2015 I lead a crew, as Foreman, on the swing shift of 6-7 mechanics, including myself, in charge of a majority of the maintenance, inspections, and light repairs of Chelan County PUD's 900+ pieces of equipment. I was a working Foreman who worked on the floor daily with the crew to get the work done, providing guidance and assistance when needed. The crew worked hard to provide exceptional internal customer service by returning the vehicles and equipment back to the operators in good working order, usually by the next morning, when they need them.

I was one of two mechanics in charge of maintaining and repairing the fleet of buses used by Cascade School District. We were required to keep them maintained to strict Washington State Patrol standards for buses use for transporting people. The buses were inspected annually by the State Patrol. Every year we excelled having our buses all in good condition, passing every inspection, during the time I was at the District. Part of my job duties included being a fill in substitute bus driver, when others were not available to do this task. This was a challenge at times as there were varied routes, and as mechanics, we were not driving the buses often enough to be familiar with the routes and stops on those routes. We did have to maintain order on the bus with the kids, while making sure all the students returned home safely.

I was part of team of 4 fleet mechanics who's job was to maintain and repair a variety of fleet vehicles, including snow cats, grooming attachments on the snow cats, loaders and misc. other heavy equipment, snowmobiles, a small fleet of cutaway vans, 2 large buses, and a few pickups used on site and on the road. We took pride in doing accurate repairs and maintenance on the vehicles and equipment to keep them up and running when they were needed throughout the ski season.

I taught Moses Lake High School students the basics of automotive repair and maintenance in a professional environment at Big Bend Community College in the same building as the college program is taught. My duties including managing 14-18 students in the classroom setting and then doing hands on tasks out in the shop. I was tasked with maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance. Proper safety practices were of utmost importance before allowing the students to perform any work out in the shop. I taught them proper use of tools and equipment used in the automotive field, including use and dangers of chemicals we use as well. I had a student that excelled and participated in a small engine competition at the state level.
