I started this company to further my ambitions in the UAS and sensor technology sphere. We work mainly with academics and for industrial R&D sector. As well as being experts in photogrammetry, software and data manipulation, we’ve integrated a sensitive hyperspectral instrument into a UAS to measure Sun-Induced Fluorescence. We use our innovation skills for projects such as 32bit 96Hz audio sampling, a biologically active particle detector, UAS samplers and more. We aim to provide intelligent solutions to challenging environmental monitoring problems.

I continued my work on UAS (drone) projects releated to atmospheric science and also the ambitious BIFoR FACE experiment measuring whole-ecosystem responses to elevated CO2 over 10-years in a mature oak woodland setting.

I worked here designing, maintaining, and using scientific instrument packages for medium sized Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to help address climate change questions related to interactions between air pollution, clouds and radiative forcing.As well as scientific payloads I worked on all aspects of UAV use - safety, legislation (both in the US and abroad), air space access, integration of science payload into avionics system, working effectively with pilots/engineers to communicate scientific objectives and design new fittings for instruments. After several wind tunnel sessions and flight tests at NASA Dryden's facilities I completed a UAV system to measure water vapor fluxes via GPS/INS compensated eddy covariance methods . System was deployed during January to April 2012 in a field campaign in the Maldives, where it collected many hours of boundary and entrainment layer data in clean and polluted conditions. Solar radiation, aerosol, black carbon, cloud microphysics and liquid water content measurements were also made and combined These measurements should help to shed light on interactions between boundary layer dynamics, the first and second aerosol indirect effects, and solar radiation.

Primary role was the phased investigation and remediation of brownfield sites. The ~60% fieldwork component included land surveys and sampling for a range of pollutants, industrial environmental audits, asbestos and radiological surveys. Office based tasks included subsequent data analysis and reporting, the management of local authority contaminated land databases, and client liaisons. Three months was spent on a large project in Aberdeen, being mentored through all aspects of remediation work.
