Providing counseling since 1990, my goal is and has been to assist those experiencing difficulty with life. This is accomplished using psychotherapy and the application of mindfulness to one's life.I am an eclectic therapist utilizing a combination of behavioral, cognitive and emotive approaches to assist my clients in change and experience happier lives. The aim of our work together is to assist you to find what works best for you. I discourage dependency on the therapist, encouraging you to discover and develop resources within yourself and your community. My experience (20+ years) is that most of us respond well to a combination of cognitive restructuring, behavioral change and emotional work. In practice, I have found that the application of mindfulness to life is indispensable. I work with adults and adolescents in group, couples and individual sessions.Specialties: Outpatient, individual, couples and group Mental Health Counseling in a private office setting. Areas of interest and specialization in my practice are; addictions/codependency, couples counseling, trauma resolution, mood disorders, relationship issues, issues of meaning in life, grief resolution, stress reduction and men's issues. In practice I have found that he application of mindfulness to address these issues is indispensable.
