I am a creative and passionate data scientist with a solution-driven mind set and a strong interest in machine-learning/AI, analysis, and project management. I have many years of hands-on experience of working and coordinating diverse teams in large international collaborations at the world’s largest particle physics laboratories: CERN (Geneva, Switzerland) and DESY (Hamburg, Germany) and have recently joined QuantumBlack at McKinsey & Company. I am a communicative person that enjoys taking initiative and to present my work for a broad audience, ranging from stake-holders to the general public. During my career I have focused my research on particularly demanding aspects of particle physics where machine learning algorithms constitute a natural ingredient: the classification of new physics signatures using deep-learning neutral networks and the optimisation of the discovery potential for new physics.
