Professional software engineer and whiteboard enthusiast.Ever since I was 13 years old, I knew what I wanted to do. I was playing the classic tank game (BASIC) when it crashed and dumped the source code. At first, I thought it was gibberish. Then I began to understand. Angle, velocity, wind speed. I could change the variables in the formulas to control the gameplay. I could even change the formulas themselves. From that point on I became a programmer.Fast-forward 30 years. I never did become a game developer. But I continue to embrace the professional software engineer's track. My code rarely hits production anymore, but I enjoy leading other developers to code higher quality software just as much.
