About Frederick Brooks, Cfa, Cfp

As one of three principals at Blankinship & Foster, I oversee our investment analytics and serve as Chairman of the firm's Investment Committee. I also work directly with clients to manage investment portfolios and help them with the most efficient use of their financial resources. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than untangling a thorny financial problem and helping someone take control of their personal finances to achieve their goals. I have worked for several San Diego investment advisory firms, providing portfolio management, financial planning and related services. I have also provided consulting on the design, implementation and management of qualified retirement plans, including 401(k), profit sharing and pension plans.I am proud to support Girl Scouts of San Diego, the premier leadership organization for girls in San Diego County. I also serve on their Board of Directors and Chair their Investment Committee. I am a past President of the CFA Society of San Diego and served on its Board of Directors in various capacities from 1999 - 2007. I am also a member of CFA Institute, the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the Estate Planning Council of San Diego.
