As Department Manager, I am responsible for the day to day operations for Mead & Hunt in North Carolina. With an emphasis on continued growth, my focus includes market identification and business development, building and maintaining client relationships, marketing and proposal efforts, and staff expansion and advancement. I remain involved in project management, on-time project delivery and QA/QC for NCDOT and municipal transportation improvement projects.

Roadway Design Manager for North Carolina operations established in 2014. Developed startup design group to a staff of 10, overseeing Roadway Design, Hydraulics and Utilities Engineers. Managed turnkey planning and design projects and served as Plan Review Engineer for the NCDOT Roadway Design Unit.

Roadway Design Lead on Design-Build pursuits, conventional projects, and planning designs. Prepared, reviewed, and sealed Release For Construction plans for multiple disciplines, including Roadway Design and Traffic Control. Maintained project schedules, coordinated with sub-consultants and contractors, and trained entry-level engineers.

As Roadway Design Unit Squad Leader, managed design squad of four engineers and technicians, and maintained project milestones on multiple projects of varying size, priority, and construction cost. Assigned tasks and reviewed work, sealed final plans, and trained staff. Coordinated with other NCDOT units, Highway Divisions, Private Engineering Firms, Agencies, and the public to achieve project completion. Represented Roadway Design at public hearings and Merger meetings.
