Originally employed as a Senior Software Developer, I developed applications to poll remote services to obtain device data in the field and environmental and energy related data from remote services.Due to my extensive experience with infrastructure and cybersecurity, I was asked to take on the role Managing these areas as well. In this role, I moved the organization from a group of cloud hosted servers to better leveraging the benefits of cloud infrastructure to improve security and reliability while reducing costs. I completed audits of our systems by customers to ensure we were able to provide services securely. When the company grew, I participated in the hiring of new employees. I would review incoming resumes and applications to identify the best candidates and then meet with the candidates to interview them. The CEO and I would then choose the candidates to receive an offer. Upon completion of hring, I would engage with the new employees to help them understand their new role and to help them navigate the company and external customers to ensure their success.

This included selecting metering products, integrating hardware with monitoring software, and ensuring seamless integration into customer networks. Engaged with customers on larger contracts to ensure they were getting the right devices and services. While serving in this role, worked to bring in a customer purchasing ~$1M / month in hardware. This required working with the customer to identify their custom requirements and then engaging with the engineering and production teams in Taiwan to ensure the devices were delivered.

Intel Mask OperationsResponsible for developing new equipment to support photolithography mask production. - Developed multiple large scale file servers each supporting 800 disks to store very large pattern file sets. This included selecting disks, storage shelves, fiber channel switches, and servers to build the systems. Additionally, I selected the high availability Linux variant, installed, and configured the system. Finally I integrated the system into the data center. This saved Intel 70 percent of the cost of maintaining pattern files.- Developed an autonomous robotic system to deliver photolithography masks in the factory. This included the mechanical design of the payload assembly, training the robots, and integrating the robot software into the enterprise systems. - Developed a dry etch plasma endpoint system that looked at process parameters in realtime, made process decisions on endpointing the run, and terminated the run to improve process performance. This extended the life of the process tools and resulted in the delay of needing to purchase new tools at approximately ~$10M each for 2 - 3 years.
