I did a (part-time) research project under supervision of professor Maarten Hornikx PhD. My responsibilities were the full organization of the research project in terms of planning, execution (within budget), design of the experimental methods, recruiting test subjects, initiating several student projects for feasibility studies, conducting the measurements and experiments, and presenting and reporting the work. During the research project I collaborated with fellow researchers with the Radboud University (NL), University of Antwerp (Belgium), University of Durham (United Kingdom) and RWTH Aachen University: Institute of Technical Acoustics (Germany). I wrote two research papers which have been published in the peer reviewed journal Acta Acustica United With Acustica. I’m coauthor of two additional research papers by Lore Thaler PhD (Durham University).

I got experience in every applicable measurement methods in architectural acoustics. For survey measurements in the field as well as precision measurements in the acoustics laboratory. I contributed in consultancy projects (e.g. for the National Opera and Ballet). I gave workshops about sound measurements and sound perception.

Research on psycho-acoustics and sound quality. I gained extensive experience in conducting survey measurements in the research facilities (semi anechoic chamber). During my project, I focused on assessing and improving the sound quality of one of Océ's products: to make the product sound "better".
