During my time as graduate intern I did research on the reasons behind the differences in conversion rates (tablet and mobile) of an E-commerce website. Using the Think-Aloud protocol I tested 15 users. These users were split up in 3 categories: Users with buying experience online, Users without buying experience online and Users who had buying experience online using a tablet.I also had a Usability Expert write an Expert Review where he analyzed the website using the 10 Heuristics for User Interface Design by Jacob Nielsen.The results of both these tests were added together to look for similarities and differences in both user experience and age. Comments made by the users on the interface were also taken into consideration. Using the gathered information I made a list of points to improve the User Interface and User Experience that could help bring the conversion rate on tablet up.

As webmaster I'm responsible for the website and part of this job is keeping it up to date. I also manage the Social Media accounts and run campaigns from time to time. At time of writing we have +-1500 Facebook likes. Besides these activities I design products used inside and outside the business like menu cards, posters and advertisements. Part of my internship was doing research on the usability of the internal tools for project management. As part of this research I interviewed users (both intern users as well as customers) and conducted a usability test. The results of these interviews and tests were split up in to two categories, quick wins and long-term ideas. The quick wins, ranging from simple 'annoying' bugs to a redesign were also implemented by me in the remaining weeks of my internship.Other activities:- Supporting the sales department with visual designs for potential products and services.
