With over 25 years of experience in managing complex risks—including financial, regulatory, legal, and reputational—I currently serve as a Principal in KPMG’s Advisory Risk Management function. In this role, I oversee the review and approval of all Forensic and FS Regulatory & Compliance engagements within KPMG’s Advisory practice. I also drive the development of generative AI solutions, enabling our internal teams to more effectively manage risk challenges.Previously, as a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Financial Risk Management Practice, I led diverse risk management and treasury engagements for global energy and financial services clients. I built and maintained strong client relationships while delivering financial and energy risk management services such as benchmarking enterprise risk activities against leading practices, hedge strategy development, and risk management policy design.Prior to joining KPMG, I was Director of Commodity Products at RBS Sempra Commodities (formerly Sempra Energy Solutions), where I established strategic wholesale relationships, implemented process and contractual controls to mitigate risks, and negotiated customized open market electricity and natural gas contracts across the U.S.I am a licensed attorney in California and earned the Energy Risk Professional (ERP) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals, reflecting my specialized expertise in both the energy sector and broader risk management disciplines.Specialties: risk management, commodity and energy trading controls, derivative valuation, contract/MSA negotiation, and commodity product development.
