It appears that leading teams was in my blood and in my future. I have rapidly advanced from that first entry-level job to manage my first restaurant at age nineteen. I grew to second-level District Leadership by age twenty-two and Director at age twenty-seven. While I grew fast within the same company, I was also able to adapt rapidly to change as I was selected to move from quick service to casual dining and back during my tenure with Advantica brands. (Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, Hardees, Quincy’s)My growth continued to third-level strategic leadership as Regional Vice President of Operations for Hardees and later Divisional Vice President of Operations with Denny’s. Further, I was able to change career tracks to retail and real estate property management as a Regional Manager and Regional Vice President respectively. Adding to my experience, I served as Senior Director of Operational Systems where I directed the operations requirements for public accommodations policies for Denny’s following the landmark Justice Department settlement in 1994. In addition, I managed Operational System requirements, food safety systems and Brand Standards Assurance Team for Denny’s as a direct contributor to the Senior Leadership Team.Today, I still wake-up daily thinking about how I can add value to my team and the retail restaurant industry that I have come to love. I recently finished a Master Degree largely because I wanted to continue my learning and growth as well as add value at a higher level. The sum of my experiences and education have equipped me adapt quickly, build and sustain high performing teams, chart strategic direction and partner for performance in order to achieve the highest and best good for the enterprise.
