In any role, I work to understand the system I’m working in and determine how to best deliver value to the project, team, and business. This approach extends to a more strategic view of the software delivery process, where optimizing for delivery is more important than optimizing for design, engineering, or test.A summary of what I bring to the software delivery includes: > 24 years experience in the software industry > A believer to the principles of the context-driven school of testing > Experience with Exploratory Testing, including Session Based Test Management > Experience with test planning and strategy based on technical and schedule risks, while maintaining focus on stakeholder concerns > Experience in waterfall, modified waterfall, and agile/scrum projects > Experience managing QA projects, from setting initial scope thorough release > Experience estimating testing effort, including estimate tracking for feedback and improvement > Experience with testing checklist and test case creation based on designs/specifications/use cases as well as business domain knowledge > Experience with black box (functional, behavioral) testing, often driven by white/glass box analysis with developers > Experience monitoring and reporting status, tracking progress, estimates, defect reporting and tracking, and key risks > Experience with many aspects of the business of software, including client facing requirements gathering; conceptual design of features; design review; writing test scripts; writing release and training documentation; training internal and external clients; client support; delivering product demos for sales; and serving as a subject matter expert who bridges the gap between business and technical requirements
