Some of what I have learned along the way as a military brat and professional who has had the good fortune to work across the world:1.) If you love what you do, you will practice to be good at it. When you are good at it, people will pay you for it. (and you will often wonder why they do!)2.) Make sure you have a really good reason to say no, for you don't know what success and experience you may pass up.3.)You learn way more from your failures than from your victories...and the stories that come with each are epic!4.) Help everyone you can, when you can; even those that have let you down; while it may be a small task for you, the effort you make may be monumental for them.5.) Nobody in this world will ever look at you and treat you the way your dog does - take the time to reward that loyalty every time - and recognize the people in your life that give you even a fraction of the same.6.) Seek out change; in experiences; people; scenery; cultures; and most importantly yourself - you will be able to relate to and understand so much more.7.) Be honest with yourself in your successes and your failures...explain both (don't excuse) and don't dwell on either.8.) Be the leader that people respect; be equal in your treatment of others; be open enough to know your team and let them know you - Remember, the parent you didn’t want to let down was more impactful than the one you were afraid of…
