Worked in wireline production services group in Rosharon. Designed modifications to downhole tools and built prototypes, then designed and performed numerous qualification tests. Also managed these modification projects, which included cost and schedule estimates, design reviews and management presentations. Tools carried 500V and operated up to 25ksi/500F in sour wells. Also worked on the redesign of a detonator that operated in exposed well conditions to double the operation limits and detonation reliability. Quoted custom tool enhancement requests and performed the work when quotes were accepted. Other duties included assisting manufacturing, evaluating incoming inspection failures, writing field instructions, and field support.

Houston

Lead mechanical engineer, and sometimes manager, for numerous projects. Responsible for initial design, prototyping, environmental testing, documentation, and manufacturing support. Worked closely with outside suppliers, other engineers, and marketing to develop designs that were producible and met each group’s requirements. Produced many hundreds of drawings for low volume to multi-thousand unit production. SpecialtiesCAD using Inventor, AutoCAD, and ProE, coordinating new designs with fab shops and manufacturing, documentation control. Also am an ISO9001 auditor.
