    Managed four-person team providing support for 620-person corporate headquarters of S&P 500 company. In addition to providing end-user support, team supported the telecom environment, 14 Windows-based servers and the local-area network. Personally responsible for Exchange support within the corporate headquarters. Also responsible for designing DR plan, hardware and software acquisition, server life-cycle management, managing machine images for rapid hardware deployment.This position required preparation of, and financial performance measured against, a budget approaching $1M per year. SOX compliance requirements were met prior to deadline 100% of the time.MAJOR PROJECTSMoving the entire corporate office from two locations to one new, central location, accomplished with no down time (entire move accomplished over two weekends)--400 employees moved. Acquisition, installation and testing of data and voice circuits, build-out of infrastructure to include cabling and network-equipment acquisition and configuration, quality control of the end result. This move involved an Avaya phone switch, 12 Windows servers, and three LAN subnets. The successful execution of this move resulted in bonuses being paid to every member of the team.Upgrading more than 600 PCs to new operating system and MS Office version with nearly zero impact on end users, and with existing staff (no added labor costs for conversion). Routine moves of as many as 100 employees with no end-user impact, typically twice a year or more for the last five years. Worked with the Facilities Manager and established strong rapport, as it was only via closely coordinated efforts that all the moves took place seamlessly.Conversion to an MPLS wide-area network: no downtime, all conversion action over one weekend, 100% up Monday morning. Member of the team which determined the vendor and planned the project so as to complete it with no discernible impact.
