• Led and coordinated NatureServe’s sustainable forestry programs and outreach. • Supervised team of 3-4 full-time staff and 5-10 contractors focused on biodiversity conservation.• Raised $500,000 to $1 million per year from various sources to support our work.• Organized regional conference of natural heritage programs, foundations, and funders and monthly natural heritage director meetings to increase collaboration on conservation and financial support of key NatureServe goals.• Co-authored eight technical reports on climate change impacts to natural and human resources in coastal United States• Led effort to establish and implement rapid assessment of ecosystem condition for longleaf pine communities and all upland communities of Arkansas.

• Led strategic thinking for our Southeast terrestrial ecology programs.• Managed partnerships with key federal and state agencies (USFWS, USFS, NPS, NC DEQ, etc.)• Developed all research proposals in the Southeast for NatureServe, resulting in around $300-500K per year in funding to our organization.• Developed relationships with individual potential funders in the Southeast in collaboration with Director of Development.

In partnership with National Geographic, served on team to develop new public-facing website on conservation (www.landscope.org).

• Coordinated natural resource mapmaking and vegetation classification projects in national park units throughout the U.S.• Secured funding of 400K+ per year for vegetation mapping projects nationwide

• Managed all aspects of important conservation inventories for 17 national parks in the Southeast. • Ensured completion of complex projects that were completed on time and on budget.

• Collaborated with federal, state, and local partners to forward goals of Chicago Wildereness. • Founded the Habitat Project, a highly successful regional citizen science monitoring inititative.
