As CEO, I am responsible for association operations, including our member and industry-focused programs and services. With a strict focus on value and financial stewardship, I have delivered at a high level on the identified strategic priorities of the Board of Directors. Our team has been innovative, responsible, and growth-oriented while I have fostered a fun and high-performing organizational culture. We have advanced Certified Professional Bookkeepers' interests and raised their profile nationally with creative partnerships and initiatives with Canada's accounting industry. The stature and capacity of CPB Canada has accelerated since arriving as CEO in March of 2021. I am proud of many achievements to date, including:• Introducing a modernized governance framework with the Board of Directors. • Achieving record-level membership growth - Net 600 growth since March 2021. • Annual revenue growth rate of nearly 25% (including non-dues revenue diversification).• Delivering a recurring yearly operating surplus to bolster organizational reserve funds. • Managed growth and strengthened the work environment and competitiveness as an employer. • Launched new initiatives like National Bookkeeping Week and professional development programming.• Elevated the CPB professional designation and standards with government and small businesses across Canada.

Managed a policy portfolio that included municipal finance, policing and insurance/liability matters.Regularly briefed MOU team members (mayors & councillors) to help prepare them to engage Cabinet Ministers. Wrote AMO’s pre-budget submissions, policy content and advocacy based correspondence. Represented municipal governments on confidential finance and tax policy tables along with regulation development for Ontario’s Community Safety and Policing Act.

Grew influence by amplifying the voice of local government professionals. Via effective submissions and advocacy; a series of core legislation was amended along with influencing the government on a series of key priorities such as municipal reporting and fixing the voter's list.Maintained above industry standard levels of member retention and increased annual new member growth between 10-12%. Achieved business development goals by creating strategic partnerships like the AMCTO-IVEY Executive Leadership Program and licensing existing programming to post-secondary institutions.
