Rick Scherer is currently Chief Enterprise Architect within Dell Technologies where he supports our long-standing strategic partnerships with our financial services clients. In his current role he helps define technology strategy and drive transformation for our partners by leveraging best of breed solutions across the Dell Technologies family of brands. Rick’s history has deep seeded roots in data center infrastructure, and enterprise application platforms. He has architected large scale Multi Cloud deployments and modernization of legacy monolithic applications into agile cloud native workloads. Being an early adopter of VMware technology (1999), as well as becoming one of the first VMware Certified Design Experts (VCDX-DCV #21) has made him an industry go-to resource for all things Cloud and has really shaped the person he is today; someone committed to being on the edge of technology innovation and change. Sharing knowledge and information to the greater communities is important to Rick. By supporting local User Groups, presenting at industry conferences, and being active on social media he feels that he can help drive adoption of technology that others may feel is too difficult or complex to do on their own. Outside of work, Rick enjoys spending time with his family traveling and exploring the globe, as well as hacking on home automation projects that drive his wife crazy.
