As Parent Coordinator for IDEAL Charter School. My job was to create and coordinate events with incentives to bring parents into school for positive reasons. Other duties included taking care of updating the website. It also included daily work with the children in the classroom. When called upon I would step in to substitute and lead a class of between 20-30 students. My favorite part of the job is working with our community partners and creating relationships. This past year I was able to get 39 pies donated for, our Parents Involved in Education kick off at our open house. Another part of the PIE program was tracking down the right person in Citgo Fueling Education and get 8 $25 gift cards for our monthly drawing. Citgo is now interested in doing something with the whole district.

I am a freelance writer. I have had a full service advertising agency, and worked for several ad agencies in town. I have written and produced many TV, Radio, and Print ads. Comedy is my specialty, but can get sensitive and touch the consumers feelings as well.

Assisting in the classroom working with individuals or small groups. These students may be a bit behind or are special needs children. It is an awesome feeling when one or two of the students lightbulb goes on and they suddenly know how to do something. I am asked to substitute as needed because I have good control over the classrooms. I treat the students the way I wanted to be treated in school. I am also a very good listener and trained at deescalating situations or handling problems during the course of the day.

Recruited by a Principal for a position with MPS working at Bay View. Responsible for coordinating with Project Lead the Way and the Building, Architecture, and Technology or B.A.T. Academy to work with business leaders to fulfill the stringent requirements of becoming a member of the prestigious National Academy Foundation or NAF. Networking was very important in this position due to the need to reach out to industries I had not worked with in the past. Working with school leaders as well as representatives from the National Academy Foundation to become the areas first NAF Academy and the first Construction Academy in the Country. During this time I also created new marketing and public relations materials and presentations for the school.

Created pricing, packages, and promotions for advertising sales end for this Spanish Radio station accounting for 80% of the billing.

I created and made presentations to major businesses both locally and nationally. I trained the sales staff and was the top salesman. I put together different sales packages for the station. I created promotions to introduce the station as well as added value to the clients business. The AM on air personality put together our first anniversary party. There were 10 bands, 15 vendors and the event was sponsored by a Budweiser vendor. We drew between 20 and 30,000 people. Vendors needed to get more product as they were running out of food. Even the Budweiser vender ran out of Bud light. He was selling cases of beer for $80!

Over seeing staff of Mad Scientists, Training, scheduling, New Business Development, Accounting, Program Presenter, and Instructor. I would do special events for up to 300 people as an entertaining teacher of spectacular science.
