The 3,030 foot span of the New River Gorge Bridge (WV,) pictured here, is an apt metaphor for my skills and experience. As a Myers-Briggs type of ENFJ, I bridge the fields of training, coaching, serving and selling. As a trainer, one of my best abilities is to quickly learn a software product and then become a bridge between how to effectively use the product and the customers, clients and/or colleagues who need to use it well. To put it differently, I’m enough of a “techie” to understand how to use a given software package and enough of a “non-techie” to be able to train people of all technical abilities and comfort levels. If you & I rode in an elevator together, I’d also tell you this about me: “I’m an Educator/Trainer with years of enthusiastic teaching & learning. Also, I’m a dynamic customer relationship manager who has coordinated & supervised project planning, software implementation & training for enterprise level SaaS clients. Managers, colleagues & customers have identified me as an excellent, empathetic, welcoming communicator with a heart for serving others. Like the breath-taking steel arch bridge which rises 876 feet above the New River in Ohio's next door neighbor state, I have risen professionally with my impressive skills:Instructing | Writing | Persuasion | Learning Strategies | Coordination | Relationship Management | Active Listening | Decision Making | Sales Management | Speaking | Active Learning | Project Planning | Social Perceptiveness | Service Orientation | Hospitality / Customer Service | Critical Thinking | Time Management | EmpathyThe free https://www.viacharacter.org assessment finds that my five “signature” strengths are (direct quotations are from the VIA Character site):SPIRITUALITY - “strong connection to one’s source of meaning in life.”"Sometimes people get the mistaken notion that spirituality is a separate department of life, the penthouse of existence. But rightly understood, it is a vital awareness that pervades all realms of our being."Brother David Steindl-RastGRATITUDE - “sense that one has benefited from the actions of another.”"Joy is the simplest form of gratitude." Karl BarthLOVE of LEARNING - “one digs deep into new & old topics” "That is what learning is. You suddenly understand something you've understood all your life, but in a new way." Doris LessingAPPRECIATION of BEAUTY & EXCELLENCE - “helps one connect with something outside of one’s self.” CREATIVITY - “one thinks of new and different ways to solve everyday problems”
