From growing up very poor, bullied in my youth to surviving a major car accident in 1998 w/18 wheel truck, I continue to strive hard each day to reach my goals with a “Game On” Attitude. A little about my background..,Senior Healthcare Executive Servant Leader experienced in Managed Care, Hospice, LTC, In-Home Personal Care, SDOH , Telehealth, Hospital at Home, Franchise National Business Development & Autism...How did I get into healthcare? Here is my story.....Chapter One-Imagine for a moment growing up in a very poor, abusive and unsupportive family to being bullied by a few classmates throughout elementary and middle school. This was my life growing up before I decided to make a change and do everything I could to remove myself out of the generational poverty cycle. Selling newspapers on assigned street corners and weekend neighborhood routes at the age of 12 was a step in the right direction. I went to work for White Castle when I was 16 and earned several promotions to management in a short time while attending school/college. I ventured into the banking industry before becoming a mobile disc jockey where I learned valuable public speaking skills. Chapter TwoSince those challenging but very educational times, I have had the privilege and opportunity to learn from some great CEO's, Senior Management Leaders and colleagues (in the past and present) in the healthcare field. These individuals helped me continue progressing in my life and career with opportunities to serve communities throughout the country Over the last 30+ years, I have gained significant Leadership experience working in the healthcare sector ranging from:* Medicaid and Medicare Managed Care* Long Term Care (Nursing Homes, Independent Living) * Hospice, Home Health Care & In Home Personal Care Responsibilities include:* Business Development, Operations, Start-Up Businesses* Growing Existing Business, P&L responsibilities, Developing/implementing new services * Talent management and Managing Multi-State businesses in the Midwest, South and Northeast sections of the country.*Franchise National Business Development, Vendor Engagement and Managed Care Operations * Received several awards over the years for growth, operations and in 2017, Servant Leadership Award in Government Services with AetnaIn addition, I have experience in Social Determinants of Health, Housing , Workforce Development and Autism.
