Extensively employ CAE, including FEA structural analysis, VLM and OpenFOAM CFD hydro/aerodynamics. Extensive 3D CAD experience, currently working in SolidWorks 2016 and Rhinoceros V5 & V6.     Here because I love sailing, I manage the daily operations of the James P. Muldoon River Center and serve as part time Faculty, teaching two sections of basic sailing. I hope to expand this with more advanced courses including 'The Physics of Sailing' including how to use the freeware CFD programs that are available. I also mentored a physics student in the use of Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, and the Orca 3D Naval Architecture plug-in. (She crewed on the Dove as an undergrad, and chose to create a mathematically modeled 3D study of a family of 16th Century ships similar to the Maryland 'Dove', stationed at Historic St. Mary's City here, as her Senior project.)With my background, I can't help but engineer better solutions to support our operations.
