CareAllies, Inc. is a healthcare management company that was established in June 2016. The company provides systems, capabilities, and management services to healthcare providers to help them succeed under various value-based and risk-sharing models across the value-based reimbursement spectrum. Its services can help ease providers’ administrative burden across payers. CareAllies, Inc. has assets and talent combined from Cigna, Cigna-HealthSpring’s management services division for independent physician associations (Quest), and QualCare Alliance Networks, Inc. (QANI).In my role at CareAllies, Inc., I played a key part in establishing analytics operations for the organization. My work encompassed the QualCare Informatics team, the central CareAllies analytics, and associated data warehouse initiatives. I crafted a consultative analytics package for client plan assessments and facilitated in-person meetings with hospital clients to discuss plan outcomes. I spearheaded a project for multi-payer data consolidation, aiding provider groups in unifying their processes. My responsibilities also included evaluating vendors for Population Health Management, Analytics, Electronic Health Records, and Practice Management systems. Furthermore, I offered consultancy to clients launching new Medicare Advantage plans, focusing on analytics, quality measures, and STARS ratings.

I was responsible for driving projects and software development across various areas of healthcare technology, including data management, population health management, business analytics, data warehousing, and business process transformation. It was a challenging role that required me to lead a team of project managers, resource managers, consultants, business analysts, and informatics analysts.One of my biggest accomplishments was developing a multi-year technology roadmap that helped us create enhanced disease registries and referral management systems. I also implemented the Tableau BI Tool and developed actionable reports for providers related to disease state, utilization, HCC capture which helped drive CMG’s MA Admits per Thousand (APK) from 325 to 255 in 2 years. I supported physician incentive program targets based on the triple aim with innovative reporting.To ensure program effectiveness, I developed new PHM tools and processes and implemented new technology related to patient engagement and activation (i.e. Patient Portal). I directed Business Technology Implementation, Training, and Support teams and was trained in Six Sigma Green and Black Belts.As a core member and analytics lead of the CMS Medicare Stars Team that achieved a 5 Star in 2016 and maintained a 4.5 Star rating for the 3 years prior to 2016, I was responsible for leading 2 sub-committees focused on analytics and patient engagement. I had the privilege of leading the Cigna Onsite Health Informatics team, where I oversaw the development of client packages that demonstrated risk management, clinical outcomes, and financial results. It was a challenging role that required me to design data collection processes from remote clinics and develop the primary database for clinical research studies.One of my biggest accomplishments was developing the primary database for the Kronos Early Estrogen Prevention Study. This study included principal investigators from the University of Utah School of Medicine, UCFS Center for Reproductive Health, Columbia University, Harvard Medical School, Office of Women’s Health Mayo Clinic, and Yale Menopause Program. The work we did had a significant impact on the people who used our healthcare technology products. It was rewarding to see how our efforts improved their lives.

As the designer and implementer of the MSI Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), I oversaw the entire process including business requirements, functional requirements, technical design, development, quality assurance, and distribution. It was a challenging role that required me to ensure that every department was working in sync and that each stage of the process was executed flawlessly.One of my notable achievements was designing and developing a BAR Code based inventory system that tracked receipt and shipment of over $2.5 million in hardware and software annually. This system helped us streamline our inventory management process and reduce errors.In addition to this role, I also held other positions at MSI:- Director of Software Development: Managed all development-related activities within the company. Made final technical decisions regarding system architecture. Interacted with internal and external customers to establish requirements and scope of projects. Responsible for the management of a team of developers.- Director of Second Level Support: Directed a team that provided second-level support to approximately 3000 installations of network and software solutions at hotels across the country.- Software Engineer: Worked on the middleware for the property management system and early on developed serial drives in assembly for hardware interfaces between systems.As a member of the Executive Team at MSI, I was involved in major decisions affecting the strategic direction of the company.
