After 20+ years practicing in a large law firm environment, I decided to leave "Big Law" and start my own law firm. I assist clients with complex intellectual property and commercial issues to meet their business goals efficiently and effectively. This includes issues related to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, commercial contracts, and other IP and corporate legal matters.My clients have included large multi-national corporations; mid-sized private, public, and non-profit companies; and start-up/spin-off entities. My experience includes the following: -I have counseled clients and provided strategic advice and risk assessment regarding identifying, protecting, licensing, enforcing, monetizing, designing around, and defending against IP rights, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights;-I have completed intellectual property clearance and competitive intelligence analyses related to product development, merger & acquisition due diligence, freedom to operate, branding, and competitive analysis assessments;-I have prepared and prosecuted patent, trademark, and copyright applications in numerous industries and technologies;-I have structured, negotiated, and drafted complex commercial contracts, licenses, development, settlement, and other agreements involving and/or concerning complex commercial technology and IP issues;-I have assisted clients in identifying and executing business solutions involving complex legal issues involving IP, commercial contracts, and government regulation and compliance issues; and-I have successfully led and managed litigation and trial teams in complex IP and other commercial litigation matters pending in U.S. District Courts, the International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, including matters relating to patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and other commercial and technology disputes and related legal issues.
