As a producer and director of architecture documentaries, Rick brings in his experience as an architect to help a larger public in understanding the meaning of the built environment that surrounds us. To date he has produced and directed over one-hundred documentaries. In 2021 three of his films had been selected by film festivals in Madrid, Buenos Aire and Palm Springs. ​Piazzolla Con Brio was awarded with a Gold Special Mention. He documented over one hundred Frank Lloyd Wright buildings across twenty-five states, as well as numerous landmarks of contemporary architecture in Europe and The Americas. In 2011 he won an Honor Award in the National Photography Contest sponsored by the American Institute of Architects. Projects Real Estate's mission statement is "to raise the value of real estate by infusing architecture awareness into real estate transactions." Rick brings into the field "his architect's eye," nurtured by a long experience in architecture. He practiced extensively in Italy (based in Rome), in Israel (based in Tel Aviv) and in California (based in Westwood and in Downtown Long Beach.) Licensed in California as an architect in 1981 and as a broker in 1985, he was involved in many transactions that integrated real estate development with architecture and site-specific artworks. An AIA member from 1981 to 2010, he also directed and produced over thirty architecture documentaries and published numerous blogs under the umbrella title of "Spaces for People."

Meghiddo Architects, AIA, is an architecture and urban design firm. The Meghiddo team produces innovative work that is sustainable, aesthetic and budget conscious by looking at each project as an opportunity to rethink solutions to conventional problems. A mixed-use transit corridor development explores new solutions for the problems of sustainability in urban America. Some of their more relevant work had been featured in books and magazines. They include an award winning conceptual competition that emphasizes high-density mixed-use and pedestrian-oriented design; an affordable housing project for seniors as a model of barrier-free design, solar energy use and passive conservation; and also several pioneering residences, featured as cover stories of professional magazines.

Rick Meghiddo was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, He has a Dottore in Architettura degree from the University of Rome, and a Master in Architecture and Urban Design degree from U.C.L.A. He is fluent in four languages. Besides his practice as an architect and urban designer in Rome, Tel Aviv, Los Angeles and Long Beach, he taught History of Architecture at the University of California, Irvine, and chaired the Graduating Projects Program and Research on Artificial Islands at Israel’s Technion. As a Board Member of Long Beach’s Redevelopment Agency (2003 – 2007), he has influenced a change of mindset on the importance of good design for the city’s future. He was a founding member of Long Beach’s sustainability-conscious Green Ribbon, a Board Member of the Architectural Foundation of Orange County, and a founding member of Rethinking Greater Long Beach.

Brentwood, Los Angeles

Rick Meghiddo looks at real estate with an architect's eye. As a real estate consultant, Rick provides home buyers and sellers with a friendly personality, honesty, integrity, expert local market analysis ability, comprehensive knowledge of the entire sales process, and communication skills that include a lot of listening to his clients' needs. Besides having lived in Westwood for 15 years, Rick also developed several high-end residences in Brentwood. Some of these have been published. Project Manager of the California Institute for Communication and Information Technology at the University of California, Irvine. Designed by Johnson Fain Partners of Los Angeles and built by Leo A. Daly as the Executive Architect. Project management responsibilities included interpreting the users’ needs (faculty from the schools of Chemistry, Computer Engineering and Visual Arts,) interfacing with the A/E team and peer reviews, and obtaining the necessary permits. Reuven Meghiddo’s management was instrumental in bringing the accepted bid ($34 million) $ 2 million bellow the budget.

Israel

Tel Aviv. At the top of this period figures the Housing for the Elderly in Jaffa (1), awarded in 2000 the AIA Overseas Members’ Works Award and published by the prestigious Italian magazine “L’Architettura.” Other major work included preparing a master plan for a new 3,000 dwelling-unit neighborhood in Beer Sheva for the Ministry of Housing, the Teachers’ House for the Teachers Union (1), the Romano Residence (1) and activities at the Technion in Haifa as coordinator for Artificial Islands research and as tutor for graduating architects. Los Angeles

Designing and completing several upper-scale residences as architect/broker/developer. Own house and studio in Westwood was published as a cover-story in the Los Angeles Times Magazine and was selected to become part of the annual AIA Tour; the Bundy Residence (1) was published in several professional magazines.
