I have been working as a contract Project Manager since 1999 and within IT since 1990. As a qualified Accountant I began contracting in 1999 to assist Optus working on the introduction of GST. I then stayed on six monthly roll overs until 2005 when I went to work in the Back Offices of HP. There I was part of a team which built a work flow system using a team of developers in Bangalore and servicing clients around the globe. In 2007 I returned to Optus to assist them in moving from North Sydney to Macquarie Park, where I could cycle to work. I stayed at Optus for two years and then went to work for Tata Consulting at Vodafone for a short period. I returned to Optus in 2010 until the end of March 2012.I started as a contractor at RMS in June 2012 and managed a variety of projects involving the DRIVES system, changes to licencing requirements, implementing Special Number Plates and delivery to the customers address of choice, Tolling Systems and changes to Pink Slips, Licences and the graduated licensing scheme for learners through to black licence holders. I moved to the Department of Finance, Service and Innovation in February of this year on a six month contract.Specialties: Scheduling, Bringing projects into order, driving projects through to a workable project plan and budget. Standing between the business and IT and keeping them both informed and managing their expectations.
