Rick Nelson is the founder and owner of The Fulfillment Lab. He is responsible for the company vision, customer acquisition, research, development, and expansion. He also overhauled training, development, and payroll to maximize profitability.This unique history--experiencing the challenges of logistics and fulfillment followed by launching a business--helped shape the inception of The Fulfillment Lab. Rick's experiences and observations of the logistics and fulfillment industry highlighted the need for infrastructure with faster communication, better inventory management, and an accessible real-time dashboard. Naturally, he wanted to merge what he knew about fulfillment with the best capabilities of modern technology. After evaluating over a dozen systems used by various competitors, Rick realized that The Fulfillment Lab would need to create its own software and infrastructure, a customer-centric system flexible enough to be built around their clients—not the other way around.Rick credits the rapid expansion of The Fulfillment Lab to the establishment of a scalable, replicable model on the macro level and an unrelenting customer focus on the micro level.
