Responsibilities included the design and creation of The Jim Moran Foundation archive facility in support of both community and business activities such as strategic partnerships. Also, maintained direct interaction with top-level management at Toyota, business leaders, and associates of Jim Moran in creating The Foundation’s archives. Established and managed million dollar plus budget for The Foundation and facility. Directed, managed, and oversaw architectural build-out, construction and technical issues involved with this unique facility.

Managed operating budget in excess of $19 million with 10 direct reports and responsibility for over 200 associates. Key functions included: security, facilities maintenance and custodial, land and facilities rental, purchase and sale, new construction and remodel, cafeterias, barber shop, mail room, and space management. Established and implemented standards for office space and furniture throughout corporation, saving approximately $1.2 million. Managed over one million square feet of office and warehouse space, valued over $45 million.

Responsible for operations of an acquired forklift business in Charlotte, NC, dba, Southeast Industrial Equipment Corporation, a wholly owned and operated subsidiary of JM Family Enterprises. Managed four direct reports and responsible for 110 employees. Directed growth of business to $50 million in annual revenue from $18 million through establishment and management of efficient operations and placement of key personnel in strategic roles. Negotiated purchase of two forklift companies consolidated, and sold entire operation with profit of approximately $2 million.

Responsible for financial and operational reporting, business planning and projections, debt compliance, audit, and financial presentations. Directed activities of 10 division Controllers and eight direct reports. Centralized reporting structure for all accounting; standardized policies at each of 15 companies under JM Family umbrella.
